Nas Drops Off “Sitting With My Thoughts” Music Video
An introspective song from September’s ‘Magic 3.’
Nas has shared an official music video for the Magic 3 cut, “Sitting With My Thoughts.” The thoughtful song sees the rapper dive into his difficulties and ambitions early on in his career, looking back to when he was just a teenager.
“I once, too, was a young boy, wylin’ on tour / Runnin’ with some of the wildest youngin’s out of New York,” he raps. “Met some more in Baton Rouge, used to wild how they talked / Nineteen, my girl was pregnant, had to sit with my thoughts.”
In the visual, footage shows snapshots of Nas’ career, from hanging out with friends to getting a haircut. It intersperses shots with scenes of Nas’ joint show with the Wu-Tang Clan at Las Vegas’ MGM Arena.
The rapper toured with the group on his recent NY State of Mind Tour with De La Soul serving as a special guest.
Magic 3, Nas’ 17th album overall and his sixth produced by Hit-Boy, was released in September 2023 on the rapper’s 50th birthday.
