Concrete Boys Continues LP Rollout With DC2TRILL's “My Life”
‘It’s Us Volume 1’ is slated to drop on Friday.
Concrete Boys, the new rap group fronted by Lil Yachty, has returned with another track and music video. Less than a week ago, the group – which is also comprised of Karahbooo, DC2TRILL, Draft Day and Camo! – announced that it would be putting out its first album, a compilation project called It’s Us Volume 1.
In tandem with the news of the forthcoming LP, Concrete Boys also dropped the single “Family Business.” They’ve followed up on that release with DC2TRILL’s “My Life.” Even though the rapper performs solo, the rest of the gang makes an appearance in the video.
“Turned up my player, could tell by my posture / Your son wanna be me, this shit gettin’ awkward,” he raps. “If I try to be you, I empty my pockets / I got some sturdy things, shit outta stockin.”
Concrete Boys is the first act signed to Yachty’s new label, Concrete Rekordz, a joint venture with Quality Control Music/HYBE. The rap group put out its first single in December, making the album’s scheduled release of April 5, a fairly quick turnaround.
