66°North Leans Into Deadstock Fabrics With New Kría Collection
With Polartec fabrics leading the charge.

Icelandic brand 66°North is always keeping its pulse on technical outerwear. So to continue evolving its brand offerings, the brand is leaning into deadstock fabrics and surplus materials with its new Kría Collection.
This isn’t the first time Kría was introduced as it initially emerged in the nineties. So now the heritage collection, which derives its name from an Artic Tern on the coastline of Iceland. So the reprised Kría Collection finds its roots in surplus and deadstock fabrics as a way of slowing down the production process and reducing waste. Spanning outerwear, pants and accessories and more, the entire collection except for one item utilizes deadstock fabrics.
“Our Kría collection is a great representation of what we stand for at 66°North. Not only are the products highly technical, it’s also fun and playful, bridging the gap between fashion and function,” said 66°North’s Head of Brand, Bjarney Harðardóttir. “We use leftover Polartec fabrics collected in our factory to create infinitely wearable garments of the highest quality and durability, designed to last for years to come.”
Collection highlights include a Polartec fleece-crafted cropped zip neck fleece jumper and the Kría Jacket. Take a look at the collection in the gallery above. 66°North’s Kría collection is available now in-store and online.
