First Look at the adidas Harden Vol. 8 "Dragon Boat Festival"

In celebration of the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, James Harden and adidas Basketball are releasing an exclusive pair of the Harden Vol. 8s. The holiday occurs on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar, often corresponding with late May or early June in the Gregorian calendar.
The upcoming release sees the Harden Vol. 8 pay homage to the Dragon Boat Festival with Chinese textile-inspired designs on the midfoot. The shoe takes on a mostly white upper with the toe box in suede and the sock lining in mesh. The overlays are adorned y in grey while the rest of shoe features cultural symbols and accents such as the red nylon pull-tab and the white lacing system that features a traditional Chinese coin and pearl tassel. The gold heel counter and jade and pearl-like beading give a sense of opulence and prosperity. The shoe sits atop an outsole reminiscent of jade and gold hues and a semi-translucent rubber. Jet Boost cushioning is used to for added comfort.
