Nike Dresses the Mac Attack in "Wimbledon" Hues
Paying homage to John McEnroe’s three Wimbledon championships.
Nike shared a first look at the Mac Attack in “Wimbledon.”
John McEnroe‘s signature shoe pays homage to his three Wimbledon championships in 1981, 1983 and 1984. Arriving with a white mesh base with leather overlays, the iteration borrows the color scheme of the Grand Slam tournament with purple suede panel swooshes and green suede on the collar and heel stabilizer. The additional branding details, such as the tongue tag and insoles, also sport the same hues. The shoe then rests on a white midsole and matching green outsole, while white laces tie it together for a clean finish.
Check out the model above. The Nike Mac Attack “Wimbledon” is set to release in the coming months — supposed by July in time for Wimbledon 2024 — for a retail price tag of $120 USD.
