PUMA Reunites With Hajime Sorayama for Futuristic Lunar New Year Collection
With apparel, accessories and footwear inspired by the Year of the Dragon.

After partnering with Hajime Sorayama for a 75th anniversary collection last year, PUMA has reunited with the famed Japanese artist for a line inspired by Lunar New Year. Built with Sorayama’s eye for futurism, the range welcomes apparel, accessories and footwear that appear ahead of their time.
Centered around the Year of the Dragon, the collection’s ready-to-wear includes several pieces from PUMA’s Select divison, including jackets, graphic hoodies and woven pants, that are all done up with Soroyama’s illustrative take on the fire-breathing character. Among them, the SUKAJAN Jacket houses a robotic dragon embroidery across its back, while hoodies find the motif trailing down their arms.
In footwear, Soroyama cooked up fresh iterations of the PUMA Spirex and the signature PUMA Palermo. Both versions adopt a metallic silver finish, much like the artist’s depiction of the dragon. The Spirex employs the reflective tone all over its athletic silhouette, while the Palermo features a metallic UV photochromic upper and a translucent rubber outsole.
Rounding out the collection, accessories include a co-branded sling bag, as well as a four-panel cap with reflective piping.
The new PUMA x Sorayama collection is now available to shop at PUMA flagship locations and in select retailers. Take a closer look at the collection in the gallery above.
