When it comes to color, Valentine’s Day is most often associated with pink and red. However, for 2024, Jordan Brand is looking to gold as it has prepared the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in a women’s-exclusive “Metallic Gold” colorway for the holiday of love.

It’s been a slow start for the high-top silhouette this year, with the “Yellow Ochre” colorway serving as the sole release thus far, but there’s plenty more on the way. First up, this “Metallic Gold” rendition of the timeless sneaker sees a primarily-white leather upper accented by golden detailing. These shining accents are featured at the Swooshes, the base of the collar, the Wings logo and the branding featured at both the tongue and sockliner. Supporting the sneaker, its signature stitched midsole appears in white with a gum bottom underneath. A golden hangtag is included with the pair, as well as a matching white and gold shoe box to add to the fun.

At the time of writing, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is expected to release in this “Metallic Gold” colorway via Nike SNKRS and select retailers on February 14 at a price of $180 USD in women’s sizing. However, the SNKRS app is now alluding to a shock drop possibly taking place on February 2 as it’s currently running a poll listing “2.2” and “2.14”, presumably referring to February 2 and February 14, with the shoe in the background.
