LaMelo Ball rejoined the Charlotte Hornets last night after being out for a couple of weeks due to a calf strain. While he continues his exciting fifth season in the league, still averaging over 30 points per game, his output with PUMA Hoops continues to make noise as well. Not only are new colorways of the MB.04 — his fourth signature shoe with the brand — hitting shelves throughout the season, but an early preview of the PUMA MB.05 has just surfaced.

It’s only been a few months since Ball and PUMA introduced the MB.04 and we already have an idea of what to expect from its sequel. A leaked image depicts seven colorways of the MB.05, making it clear that Ball is sticking to the vibrant color schemes that he’s become known for. It’s not just the colors that are eye-catching as the silhouette sees a new pair of wings grace the upper, offering a new take on the recurring motif. Another familiar note is his “1 of 1” theme which enlivens the tongue.

At the time of writing, neither LaMelo Ball nor PUMA Hoops have indicated when the MB.05 may be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including official previews of these colorways, as we currently expect the sneaker to drop in the second half of 2025 via PUMA and select retailers.
