MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon Reveal First Ready-To-Wear Collection
With GORE-TEX trench coats, stretch seamless technology leggings, straight-leg five-pocket pants and more.
Following on from the release of their joint XT-Mary J earlier this month, MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon are bringing their ongoing design partnership to new heights with their first-ever ready-to-wear collection.
Operating on a nude, black and white color palette, the minimalist capsule collection is divided into two families: GORE-TEX and Seamless. The former category includes trench coats, straight-leg five-pocket pants, zippered windbreakers and oversized button-down shirts made from (you guessed it!) GORE-TEX fabrics, while the latter line offers stretch seamless technology leggings and long-sleeved crewneck tops.
In footwear, the capsule includes new iterations of the Salomon ACS PRO 2 MM6 Maison Margiela in both sleek concrete gray and rubberized matte black finishes. Additionally, the Cross Low MM6 Maison Margiela, which twists the Salomon Speedcross trail shoe with lower proportions and a unique lug sole, is back in two new colorways: “Bubble Gum Pink/Bright Red” and “Almond/Army Green.” Notably, the model features a drawstring gaiter-style ripstop nylon closure that takes after extreme sports parkas and vintage waterproof galoshes.
Rounding out the all-gender lineup, MM6 Maison Margiela reimagined Salomon’s classic daypack with multiple pockets in both black and natural mastic tones.
The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon collection will launch online and in both brands’ boutiques on November 7. Take a look at the lineup in the gallery above.
