This Batmobile Replica Is Priced at $3M USD
While the car is fully functional, it unfortunately isn’t street legal.
Diehard Batman fans can now get their hands on the Batmobile with a true-to-screen replica of the iconic car. Known in the franchise as the Tumbler, custom car creator Action Vehicle Engineering has built a replica of the car, the first to be officially sanctioned by Warner Bros.
Priced at $3 million USD, the replica features automatic transmission, stainless Steel Headers and an advanced software system. The car also simulates the Batmobile’s jet engine – albeit without the flames. Engineers sought to stay true to the original model, replicating elements down to the dashboard configuration, making it a coveted collector’s piece.
While fully functional, the Batmobile isn’t street legal, so owners will have to be content with merely displaying the 5,000 lb-plus model in their living room.
Only ten units of the car are available and those interested in acquiring one have to apply for potential allocation. Units are expected to ship 15 months after buyers put down a deposit.
