Our Legacy WORK SHOP Taps Main Nué For "COTTON CROCHET" Capsule
Made with upcycled samples and materials at Main Nué’s Stockholm atelier.
Our Legacy WORK SHOP has introduced its latest collection, which taps Swedish design and repair studio Main Nué to bring forth its expertise in upcycling garments. The “COTTON CROCHET” collection, comprises a mixture of casual and formal attire adorned with beige crochet trims and delicate embellishments.
The collection draws its core inspiration from the formal attire of Tokyo’s taxi drivers, juxtaposed with Main Nué’s handcrafted sensibilities. A black long-sleeve button-up bears open shoulders finished with a circular crochet trim, while white stitching accents the top quarter of the placket and symmetrically placed eyelets at the middle of the shirt. A similar blazer moves the crocheted vents to the bottom half of the garment and features white stitching to bolden the breast pocket.
Elsewhere, an asymmetrical pair of black jeans shows one crochet-trimmed opening on the left knee, while another pair bears matching vents that expose the outer side of both knees. Detail shots appear to show additional blue denim washes with pinstriped patches and exposed blotches of indigo dye. For a one-of-a-kind touch, each piece of clothing features unique embellishments like colored beads, chips of wood, and seashells that hang freely from thick beige yarns.
The line is accompanied by a range of wooden furniture pieces draped with white lace, mirroring the hard-soft juxtaposition found in the apparel range.
The limited-edition collection is available now exclusively at Dover Street Market Ginza, Tokyo.
