adidas Originals and 100 Thieves Run It Back
The pair’s sophomore collaboration continues to evolve the esports aesthetic, infusing workwear influences into its athletic apparel.
On the heels of their first collaboration earlier this year, adidas Originals and 100 Thieves, by popular demand, have elected to run it back. While the pair’s first joint collection leaned into the foundational pieces – with tonal tracksuits at the forefront – the second fully-fledged range continues to evolve the duo’s distinct design language as a unit.
The partners’ sophomore collection rests on the amalgamation of workwear and sportswear – specifically esportswear – saturating adidas‘ signature athletic apparel with utilitarian style codes.
The collection accumulates in a hero piece of a motocross longsleeved t-shirt, which draws from the early esports days in which esports competitors primarily donned jerseys of the sort. Socks and a cap land to match, each of which comes adorned with a graphic flame motif, while a cross-body bag comes covered in co-branded hits.
Leaning more workwear, the pair also presents a durable, heavyweight hooded jacket and a matching pair of carpenter pants, both of which are elevated with dual-minded insignias.
In tandem with the new apparel delivery comes a new footwear model, dubbed the Palos Hill sneaker. Lifted from the archives, the Palos Hill shoe is revived for the modern-day, finished off with 100 Thieves’ script logo on the tongue.
