Willo Perron's "Perron Pillo" Sofa is The Ultimate Relaxation Spot
Having debuted at Salone del Mobile, the design is now available in North America.
Having debuted for the first time during this year’s Milan Design Week (when we named it one of our best of the week), Knoll and Willo Perron have launched the “Perron Pillo” sofa to the North American market.
Described by the brand as a “basket of pillows”, the aptly named Perron Pillo sofa appears to be freestanding, rather than attached to a solid frame. The system is made up of modular elements, which can be combined dependent on size and shape of space. Two depth options are also available, and for upholstery, there’s a range of textiles to choose from.
Pillows are plush and deep, and – as the brand says, are designed to be sat “in” rather than “on”. “I wanted the sofa to evoke surprise and emotion,” Perron added.
“Working couples the nonchalance and informality of how we live at home today, with the conceptual clarity and formal rigor we expect from Knoll,” said Jonathan Olivares, Senior Vice President of Design at Knoll. “Willo practices in the worlds of music, fashion and popular culture, but he also develops his furniture for the needs of the interiors he works on. It’s this balance of culture and practicality that I would like to foster at Knoll today.”
To celebrate the North American launch, Perron worked with Knoll on the creative direction for new campaign imagery. Check it out via the gallery above.
