Jean Dawson continues to exemplify the extent of his enigmatic artistry with each project he unleashes. His fourth studio offering, Glimmer of God, is no exception.

On the dynamic 15-track delivery, Dawson ventures into the depths of his boundless artistry, exploring uncharted sonic territory. Carried by his versatile vocals and their impressive range, Glimmer of God, per a press release, is both an ode to Dawson’s mother and a larger commentary on the divine feminine that exists in us all.

The 42-minute offering is Dawson’s most expansive project yet. Loaded and layered with such a melangé of musical influences – pop, trap, dance, indie and lo-fi – the genre-disregarding LP is textured, raw and truly impossible to categorize.

An amalgamation of the sounds that shaped Dawson, Glimmer of God opens up on a high point with “Darlin’,” with other notable tracks including early fan-favorite “Black Sugar” and piano-led “The Boy and The Swan.” The sole features come from Lil Yachty and BONES, on two of the album’s pre-release singles “Die For Me” and “P4IN,” respectively.

Today, Dawson was also announced as one of the performers at Tyler, the Creator‘s Camp Flog Gnaw music festival in November.
