Henbo Henning and Dave's New York Debut Third Collaboration, Announce Live Screen-Printing Event
The duo’s third collaboration continues the big, bold, fun and NYC-centric ethos they’ve established since first working together in 2021.
Henbo Henning and Dave’s New York go way back — four years on the collaborative front, as they first joined forces in 2021, then again in 2023, and well before that from a personal standpoint as Henning is a longstanding patron of the Big Apple-based workwear establishment. Now, the two are continuing their partnership with their third collaborative apparel capsule and a live screenprinting event.
Over their first and second collaborative efforts, Henning and Dave’s established a visual language centered around iconic animal characters in New York folklore, from the city’s omnipresent pigeons to the (fictional) giant gorilla King Kong. Those creatures return in two new graphics for this collection: “Kong Smash,” which sees the Dave’s x Henbo gorilla smashing through a wall while wearing the Dave’s storefront as a T-shirt and “Big D Construction,” where a medley of Henbo’s characters are working on Dave’s New York’s vintage “D” logo.
To accompany the collection’s release, Henbo will be hosting a screenprinting workshop at Dave’s New York, 581 6th Ave, NY, NY, 10011 from 11 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, October 19. Throughout the event, you can have either graphic printed on any Dave’s New York tee, long sleeve or hoodie you choose. If you cannot attend, you’re not entirely out of luck. Four different color tees will be available both online and in-store afterward, namely two shades of blue plus black and white options.
