Ab-Soul Announces New Mixtape ‘Soul Burger,' Shares Single "All That"
The tape is an homage to the rapper’s childhood best friend.
Ab-Soul has announced his first project since 2022, Soul Burger. The mixtape is a tribute to his childhood best friend, Doe Burger, who passed away in 2021. Burger had encouraged the rapper to make more urban music and on the project, he serves as a narrator encouraging Soul and helping him to overcome challenges.
The tape will include the previously released single “Squeeze 1St 2.” It’ll also feature the new track “All That” featuring Jason Martin (formerly known as Problem) and Thirsty P. “All That” was produced by TDE’s Rascal and TaeBeast and debuted alongside an official music video.
In the visual, Soul performs alongside his friends, interspersed with cuts of vintage photography.
“We be to rap what key be to lock / Hand me my keys, then I skate off the lot,” he raps. “Enemies retreat, before we bleed your block / Early mornin’, late night, Jay Leno.”
