Atelier Wen's Perception Millésime "睦"(Mù) Is an Ode to Kinship
The brand’s first non-collaborative release.
Atelier Wen has just unveiled the Perception Millésime “睦“(Mù), its first non-collaborative limited-edition timepiece that also marks the inauguration of the brand’s special project. From now and onwards, the independent brand will be revealed a new Millésime edition every year in a limited run, with the piece centering on a community-focused concept or message.
For the project’s first iteration, the watch embodies the essence of kinship with a fitting name, with “睦“ symbolizing harmony and amity. Dressed in a regal purple, the dial arrives in the brand’s signature écaille de poisson guilloché pattern, complemented by a 40mm titanium case and bracelet. Indices echo the dark metallic hue of the build, accompanied by a luminous Chinese huiwen-patterned chapter ring and sleek, leaf-shaped hands.
Faithful to Atelier Wen’s previous creations, the caseback is engraved with the face of the Chinese guardian lion, whose mouth serves as a window that offers a glimpse into its automatic caliber and purple oscillating weight.
The Perception Millésime “睦“ will be available to pre-order via Atelier Wen’s website between October 7 – 21, with deliveries to begin around May 2025. Priced at $3,588 USD, the timepiece will also be purchasable through select pop-ups and events.
Those who have successfully placed an order will also be automatically entered in a ticket draw, where three winners will be randomly selected to receive a special prototype of the watch. The prototypes are encased in tantalum, a material known for being incredibly different to work with. As a testament to Atelier Wen’s watchmaking prowess, these prototypes not only used tantalum on the watch cases, but also for the bracelets as well.
