Versace has officially confirmed the return of Atelier Versace to the runway for Paris Couture Week this upcoming January. According to WWD, the event will showcase the debut couture collection designed by the house’s creative officer, Pieter Mulier.
The showing marks the label’s first dedicated couture runway presentation since July 2016, having maintained its couture footprint in recent years through private client orders and red-carpet appearances. Mulier, who assumed his role on July 1, previously previewed his atelier vision when Nicole Kidman wore an asymmetric black lace gown to the Practical Magic 2 premiere in August.
The forthcoming presentation serves as the first visible signal of the brand’s creative evolution following its acquisition by Prada Group last year. Prada Group chairman Patrizio Bertelli emphasized a shared commitment to craftsmanship and heritage aimed at reinterpreting Versace’s bold aesthetic, while chief executive officer Andrea Guerra noted that integration is progressing smoothly as the design team transitions from conceptual ideas to finished garments.
Paris Couture Week is scheduled to run from January 25 to 28, with Versace stating that the official date and venue for the Atelier Versace show will be announced in due course.
