MAD x seconde/seconde/ Unveil A "Royal Order" Limited Time-Teller
An embodiment of “ordered disorder.”
MAD and seconde/seconde/, both known for their distinctive and creative vision to watches, have teamed up to reimagine an iconic Royal Oak timepiece.
Releasing in a limited run of 10 examples, the collaborative timepiece has retained most of Royal Oak’s classic shape and proportions. Rendered in a sleek color palette, the reference features a silvery steel look from bracelet, case to bezel as well as all its embellishments.
Meanwhile, the dial plate comes in a deep and mysterious blue hue. On brand with seconde/seconde/’s out-of-the-box ideas and tongue-in-cheek aesthetics, hour-markers, indices to the AP logo and date window are all aligned onto the left side of the watch face. According to the duo, the concept of this piece centers on the notion of “ordered disorder,” which is now perfectly illustrated via a dial that could earn its place as “lawful evil” on a D&D alignment chart.
The MAD x seconde/seconde/ “Royal Order” watch is open for inquiry via MAD Paris’ official website. Boasting a price tag of €74,000 EUR (approx. $81,142 USD), the piece will be available on made-to-order, with a production time of 8 – 10 weeks.
