Nike continues to look back on its archival models to inform new footwear offerings. The Swoosh is once again channeling the energy of its timeless 1999 silhouette – the Air Tuned Max “Celery” – to present the Nike Air Max 90 “Dark Russet.”
The “Dark Russet” iteration comes engulfed in a striking colorway, sitting atop a black mesh base and complete with metallic copper overlays and an iridescent upper. While sitting atop a black midsole and outsole, the sneaker’s eyelets pop in dark russet alongside another iridescent hit of Nike branding on the tongue. An all-black Nike logo also appears on the back of the heel.
The Air Tuned Max “Celery” was also referenced by Skepta in his 2017 Air Max 97 collaboration, and was revived in retro form back in 2021.
