The Sperry by Chris Echevarria Collection Has Arrived

In September of last year, it was announced that Chris Echevarria joined the Sperry team as a guest designer for a forthcoming limited-edition capsule. Although what the designs might entail remained a mystery, it was clear that the partnership would only continue rounding out Echevarria’s collaborative portfolio – featuring names like JJJJound, Bloomingdale’s, The Philadelphia 76ers, NEEDLES and more. Well, now fans can finally see what the two cooked up with the official arrival of Sperry by Chris Echevarria.

Consisting of four shoes, the Blackstock & Weber and ACADEMY founder reimagined Sperry’s signature Authentic Original Boat Shoe and Captain’s Oxford. First up is the classic Boat Shoe, which comes in brown and black hues and is elevated by premium fabrics including tumbled American bison leather and Horween leather. The Captain’s Oxford then emerges in hairy CF Stead suede and full-grain leather in hues of beige and black. Additionally, both models are complemented by rawhide laces and Vibram lug outsoles.

“I’m a long-time Sperry fan wearing Top-Siders as a kid in school, so this collaboration hits home for me,” said Echevarria. “Sperry is a staple of American style, and being able to flip these iconic styles through my lens was a dream. Every detail from the material selection to the design choices were made to give people something fresh while paying homage to Sperry’s heritage.”
