Les Benjamins Prepares to Hit the Stage With FW24 "Eastern Punk" Collection
Made for rebellious rule-breakers everywhere.
Istanbul’s reigning streetwear label, Les Benjamins, is carrying forward its expansive legacy, honoring its Turkish roots with contemporary European storylines. Founder Bünyamin Aydin is kicking off the new year by debuting his Fall/Winter 2024 “Eastern Punk” collection.
Aydin looks to Istanbul’s deep music culture for FW24, celebrating the city’s punk rock legacy by paying homage to musical artist Tünay Akdeniz. Known as the “godfather of Turkish punk,” Akdeniz is synonymous with a bad-boy mentality and impacts Turkey’s on-stage presence.
The collection keeps rebellion at its core, promoting ancient tapestry techniques birthed by the region. Disruptors are captured in sky-high mohawks and larger-than-life hair-does, seeing the brand’s Turkish prints land on woven cardigans, mismatched skirts, and distressed denim sets. Dynamic leather goods receive mismatched lapel ornamentation, while pinned blazers and paint-splattered suits ooze with defiance. The androgynous range continues with spiked hoodies, overdyed kilts, and patchwork details, complete with a series of rock band-inspired Les Benjamins tees prepared to hit the stage.
