IWC Presents a Burgundy Portugieser Chronograph in the Spirit of the Lunar New Year
Spotlighting a majestic dragon engraving on its open caseback.

To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, IWC has dedicated a special Portugieser Chronograph to celebrate the mythical zodiac creature.
The limited-edition time-teller showcases an alluring dial that’s housed in a 41mm stainless steel watch case. The dial is dressed in a glossy burgundy hue to symbolize longevity and luckiness, nodding to the cultural festival’s auspicious nature. Gold-plated hands, hour-makers and numerals instantly brighten the dial with luster and charm.
Turning over, the reference offers a majestic spectacle in the form of an intricately hand-engraved dragon design that’s prominently on view via the open caseback. The dragon is emblazoned on a gold-plated rotor of the 69355 movement — an in-house and automatic caliber with a frequency of 28,800 vph, complete with 46 hours of power reserve.
The Portugieser Chronograph Year of the Dragon comes with a simple black calfskin strap that’s suitable for the every day, as well as a textured and burgundy-hued rubber strap that show-offs a tonal look. Limited to 1,000 examples, the timepiece is priced at $9,350 USD and is now open for inquiry via IWC’s official website.
