The Latest Blancpain x Swatch Timepiece Draws Inspiration From the Moon
Introducing the OCEAN OF STORMS.

Last September, Blancpain and Swatch inaugurated their collaboration with five Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms models. In continuing their partnership, the two brands are kicking off the year with OCEAN OF STORMS, a new and more pared-down iteration that fills the color gap in the collection.
In line with the collection’s naming convention, the new reference follows an ocean-inspired theme. As the previous release already covered all five oceans of Earth, the new release takes the theme out of the planet where it derives its name from the moon’s lunar mare known as Oceanus Procellarum.
Dressed in a sleek black colorway from bezel, 42.3mm case to dial, the OCEAN OF STORMS watch is crafted from a Bioceramic material. Its dial comes in sunray-finish, accented by lume-filled indices, Arabic numerals, and handset. The watch is accompanied by a black NATO strap with white and gray stripes that echo its overall color palette.
Its SISTEM51 mechanical movement is viewable from the exhibition caseback, where a full-color digital print of its respective Nudibranch (a soft-bodied marine gastropod mollusk). For this particular iteration, the milky-hued and luminescent Okenia Luna is featured against a backdrop of the moon.
Synonymous with its predecessors, the new $400 USD timepiece is set to hit select stores on January 11 as a non-limited release. Visit Swatch’s official website for the full list of participating stores.
