Chinese label Randomevent has expanded its reach to a global audience via collaborations with the likes of Mizuno and Gramicci over the years. Another close partnership it has maintained is with American sportswear brand New Balance. Diving into 2024, the duo’s newest project takes on the 1906R and 9060. Utilizing “The Sweetness of Kin” as a theme, the two look to desserts as a bond between people.

Leading with the 9060, it has been prepared in black with suede and mesh utilized across the upper as brown appears at the sole unit. As for the 1906R, it similarly employs a soft brown to cover the entirety of the sneaker. Its construction starts with a mesh surface that is partially covered by cream leather overlays — complementing the darker hue spread across the sole.

For those interested in picking up a pair of the Randomevent x New Balance 1906R or their collaborative 9060, both launch on January 12 via Randomevent, both online and in-store. Stay tuned for updates as it’s possible that this pair will be stocked by New Balance at some point in the future as well.
