Nike SB is introducing a new model to its lineup. Dubbed the SB “Vertebrae,” Nike SB’s newest addition is set to join the ranks of beloved signature models – the Nike SB Nyjah 3 and the Nike SB Leo Baker – sometime this spring.

Landing in an array of colorways, the Vertebrae – which has only surfaced in “Black Gum” thus far – is sure to elevate both your streetwear and skateboarding cred. Taking a predominantly jet-black silhouette, the Vertebrae is crafted from a breathable mix of mesh, leather and suede – even equipped with perforations along the vamp. A rubber cup sole offers pristine support and comfort across the footbed as well – a stark juxtaposition from recent SB models’ vulcanized design.

Rib-cage detailing resembles the veiny mid-foot panel seen on Nike’s 2002 Air Max Moto, and swooshes standout – dipped in white and complemented by white branding stamped throughout. A “Gum” outsole and thick rope laces round out the sleek new sneaker. Take a closer look in the gallery above.

Running for $85 USD,  an official release date for the sneaker has yet to be announced.

Expect the Nike SB Vertebrae “Black Gum” sometime in the spring of 2024. The joints will land for purchase on Nike’s webstore, Nike retail stores and select skate shops.
