Nike's New Calm Slide Colorways Offer Major YEEZY Vibes
The Swoosh presents its own “MX”-esque pattern on the slip-on.

When the Nike Calm Slide was first spotted a year ago, many were quick to compare it to the adidas YEEZY Slide. From its single-piece construction to the monochromatic colorways presented thus far, the two bear many similarities and given the YEEZY Slide’s success when it was on the market, it was inevitable that Nike would create its own version to compete. Now, with Ye’s departure from adidas leading to the YEEZY Slide no longer existing on the market (save for secondhand sources), it’s opened up plenty of room for the Calm Slide to thrive.
Capitalizing on the situation, Nike has taken things a step further by seemingly creating its own version of the “MX” series of YEEZY colorways with these two presentations of the Calm slide utilizing a new blend pattern. For the first iteration, gray and black are swirled together across the strap and footbed with a black outsole supporting the slip-on. The other pair utilizes this look with various red hues for a fiery finish that is hosted atop a red outsole.
At the time of writing, Nike has not disclosed any release details pertaining to these patterned colorways of the Calm Slide. Stay tuned for updates as they’re both likely to launch in the coming months via Nike and select retailers at a price of $50 USD.
