For Peacock‘s first adult animation project, the streamer has enlisted none other than Beavis and Butt-Head‘s Mike Judge to spearhead a satirical hybrid stop-motion x live-action series. Alongside Silicon Valley‘s Zach Woods, King of the Hill‘s Greg Daniels and Brandon Gardner, Judge has brought fictional NPR host (the “third-most-popular,” that is) named Lauren Caspian to stop-motion life with a stacked docket of real-life special guests including Mike Tyson, Finn Wolfhard and Jonathan Van Ness.

Per Peacock’s blog:

The stop-motion comedy follows the staff of the public radio show, In the Know, hosted by Lauren Caspian (Woods), a well-meaning but hypocritical nimrod. Each episode follows the making of an episode of the radio show, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real human guests and collaborates with a diverse crew of public radio staff (who are puppets).

“We love public radio. It’s engaging and comforting. But it also reflects aspects of ourselves that we’re embarrassed by. We want this show to start funny, scary, friendly conversations. We want to portray people who are possibly irredeemable but hopefully still loveable. And at the center of all of this is a frail, overconfident male puppet with a woman’s name: Lauren Caspian,” Woods and Gardner explained in a joint statement.

Played by Woods, Caspian’s trusty public radio staff sees the likes of Judge himself, Successions J. Smith-Cameron, Carl Tart, Caitlin Reilly and Charlie Bushnell. ShadowMachine (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, BoJack Horsemanled the series’ animation.

Caspian is also set to interview Kaia Gerber, Hugh Laurie, Ken Burns, Jorge Masvisdal, Norah Jones, Nicole Byer, Roxane Gay and Tegan and Sara. How “successful” these interviews are remains to be seen, but we’re given a glimpse at Caspian’s approach in the trailer, which includes referring to Tyson as “Michael,” and asking Laurie “What should we do about Meghan Markle?”

Stream the trailer above, and keep an eye out for In The Know on Peacock later this month. The six-episode series is slated to drop on January 25.
