British footwear imprint, Dr. Martens, is known around the world for its signature ’90s grunge boot and shoe style that has traversed several styles, celebrations and collaborations. Now the brand is celebrating the “Year of the Dragon” with a new limited collection.

For the “YEAR OF THE DRAGON” collection, the brand sets forth two pairs of footwear. First up are the 8-hole boots, which appear in smooth black leather and are accented by a gold metal plate with an engraved dragon design on the toe. Other design features include a red interior, gold eyelets, gold aglets, gold shoe charms and a hair-on leather tongue. To note, all of the gold pieces feature the word “dragon” engraved on them.

Next up are the brand’s tassel loaders which are tossed in black leather for the exterior and red lining leather for the interior, edges and insoles. Elsewhere on the shoe are gold tassel clasps. For both footwear offerings, the brand swapped out its signature yellow welt stitching for “Lucky Red” in an additional nod to the Chinese zodiac dragon inspiration that encompasses the limited-edition offering.

Take a look at the offering in the gallery above. Dr. Martens’ limited edition “YEAR OF THE DRAGON” collection is set to be released on Friday, January 5.
