Hello Kitty is continuing the renowned cat character’s 50th-anniversary by linking up with adidas for special edition Adilette Slides.

Although the brand’s signature slide made its debut back in the 1970s, it is receiving a fun-fulled update for 2024 – and the year just got started. The slides appear dipped in white across the strap and soft EVA footbed. But what makes the footwear pop is the plush upper that sees Hello Kitty’s signature face and her pink bow. With it, the upper also features pops of yellow and black.

For an added touch, the collaborative slides come in a decorative box that includes Hello Kitty alongside her friends My Melody, Kuromi and others. Also in celebration of Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary, the brand has revealed collaborations with the likes of Crocs, Uniqlo and McDonald’s. Whether it be footwear, graphic tees and pajama pants or decorative packaging, all of the collaborative products retain the cutesy and light-hearted personality that Hello Kitty is known for.

Take a look at the latest celebratory collaboration in the gallery above. The Hello Kitty x adidas Orginal Adilette Slides are available now in Japan. Stay tuned for more details about any potential in-store and online domestic releases.
