Japanese label AURALEE is growing older and wiser by the season, showcasing its abilities on Paris Fashion Week runways. The brand has returned to French soil to deliver its ultra-modern Fall/Winter 2024 collection, dropping its suit off at the dry cleaners and reinventing itself in the process.

AURALEE’s FW24 offering was housed inside Palais de Tokyo’s pearlescent hallways, occupied by Rick Owens and Kiko Kostadinov in previous seasons. AURALEE welcomed dozens of attendees ready to kick off their PFW experience, flooding the upper marble galleries with excitement. Rectangular spotlights filled the room with vibrancy, seeing models walk the runway with laundry in hand. The brand’s minimalistic ethos continued to reign supreme, turning to the dark side with a solemn palette of mixed hues.

A brown leather aviator jacket guided the first model toward the finish line, wearing a layered masterpiece with pleated trousers and contrasting neckties. Pristine garments clung to plastic casings on “I Heart AURALEE” hangers, while pre-worn gloves and cozy scarves peeked inside open bag compartments. The brand’s usual tailoring arrived with tonal patterns contrasted by voluminous puffer jackets, structured hoodies, and versatile accessories. Relaxed uniforms were made for one and all, while slouchy sweatpants, balloon-like coats, and pocketed workwear detailed AURALEE’s contemporary vision.

Finally, AURALEE revealed its next New Balance collaboration on the runway, drenching the 990v4 in suede and mesh construction under dusty blue, brown, and beige tones.
