DIOR Will Bring Its FW24 Collection to New York City's Brooklyn Museum
Showcasing the ready-to-wear collection that pays tribute to the city.

DIOR is heading to NYC. Maria Grazia Chiuri‘s latest collection taps into the “unwavering ties forged between Dior and the United States from the very beginning of the house,” delivering an alluring array of menswear silhouettes reworked as womenswear styles. Specifically honing in on the role of New York City in DIOR’s stylistic evolution and ethos, Chiuri is bringing the label’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection to the very storied streets of New York City this April.
In an official statement, DIOR refers to the runway exhibition as a “spellbinding défilé,” that is inspired directly by “the founding-couturier’s passion for the fascinating American metropolis.” The label will showcase the ready-to-wear collection at the city’s famed Brooklyn Museum in Prospect Park.
“In the last few years, tweeds have extended their use even for dressy suits,” Christian Dior once noted in his Petit dictionnaire de la mode – a key inspiration for the collection. “I think they are extremely elegant. To wear them in the country is a must. At one time, you could only get tweeds in a rather heavyweight, but now you can get them in all weights and qualities and colors.”
The show is set to go down on Monday, April 15, 2024. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on the show as they surface.
