Rocksteady Studios is offering a preview of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League ahead of the game’s launch next month. Developed by the creators of the Batman Arkham series, the new gameplay trailer showcases the four supervillains and just a few of their many battles with their foes.

The title switches between playing as Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and King Shark. After being assembled by government official Amanda Waller, the villains are released from Arkham Asylum early on the condition that they use their newfound freedom to take down the alien Brainiac and members of the Justice League that have been brainwashed by him.

Players are able to freely roam an open-world Metropolis independently or joined by their fellow villains. They’re also able to switch between villains and the ones not being used will be controlled by AI in the interim. For those who want to play alongside friends, Kill the Justice League offers a multiplayer mode for up to four players.

Rocksteady has initially planned to launch the game in 2022 but the project was subject to several delays. It’s now scheduled to debut on February 2 and will be available to play on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and on Windows.
