André 3000 is celebrating the release of his debut studio album New Blue Sun with a special IMAX experience.

Set to take place for one night only on January 23, the exclusive event will present the record as an album listening cinematic experience, with New Blue Sun mixed for IMAX’s 12-channel sound and image quality. Immediately after, 3 Stacks and director Terence Nance will join for a livestreamed conversation “that will take you inside the creation of this captivating work of art.”

The album listening cinematic experience is produced by Mishka Brown and Nanette Nelms, and executive produced by Nance, Jenn Nkiru and Bradford Young.

New Blue Sun marks André’s debut solo effort and his first full-length album release in 17 years. The eight-track album is a fully instrumental album with a focus on wind instruments like a Maya flute, digital wind instrument and others made of wood and bamboo.

The experience will hit select IMAX theaters, and tickets are available now via the IMAX website.
