It’s no secret that ASICS has been a rising force in the footwear industry. Throughout recent years, it’s capitalized on the retro runner craze with silhouettes such as the GEL-KAYANO 14 shining bright. As a result, the designs that previously guided the brand’s presence in the sneaker industry — namely the GEL-LYTE III and GEL-LYTE V — have been replaced by its new leaders. However, the Japanese sportswear brand hasn’t relented with its output involving the two.

Last month, the GEL-LYTE III OG was reworked by Shenzhen-based fashion label COSTS and now it has been presented in a “Cream/Dark Brown” colorway. Its upper utilizes perforated leather in off-white at its base while pigskin nubuck overlays chime in with the aforementioned notes of “Cream” and “Dark Brown.” The former lands on the mudguard, heel counter, tongue and laces while the latter coats the midfoot, heel tab and a majority of the outsole. Its midsole features an off-white with speckles of the colorway’s two primary colors while typical GEL-LYTE III embroidery appears at the heel.

For those interested in picking up a pair today, ASICS has launched this “Cream/Dark Brown” take on the GEL-LYTE III OG at a price of $130 USD in a full size run.

Looking for more of the latest updates from the world of footwear? We’ve got you covered. The ASICS GEL-1130 is continuing its successful 2023 campaign with a recently-released “Oyster Grey” that pairs its signature hue with a “Clay Grey.”
