A week after dropping sultry summertime single “Be My Summer”, R&B songstress Snoh Aalegra has delivered another new track. Entitled “Sweet Tea”, the single sees Aalegra show off her airy vocals and signature, authentic lyricism.

The track runs at just over four minutes and was produced by NO I.D. and Greg Phillinganes. Aalegra effortlessly slides over the serene piano-led melody, reflecting on a recent lover. She croons on the chorus: “You make no sense (Makes sense) / So perfect, it makes no sense / Like that empty cup you left in my, my fridge / And that sweet tea is sweeter than you, sweeter than you (Boy) / Sweeter than you / It feels like I’m dreamin’, dreamin’ (Dreamin’) / But my dreams ain’t sweetеr than you / My dreams ain’t sweeter than you.”

“Sweet Tea” and “Be My Summer” have been the artist’s latest new releases since she dropped her TEMPORARY HIGHS IN THE VIOLET SKIES album in 2021. Album collaborator Tyler, the Creator‘s thoughts? As he expressed in the comments section of Aalegra’s Instagram post commemorating “Sweet Tea”‘s drop: “bridge is stupid whewwwwwwwwww”.

“Sweet Tea” is now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music.

Elsewhere in music, Mac Miller’s album Swimming is set to be presented as an audiovisual experience.
