Cardi B Is Under Investigation for Battery After Throwing a Microphone at a Concert Attendee
The rapper retaliated after the audience member threw a drink at her mid-performance.
Cardi B recently played an outdoor set at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas, and mid-performance, a member of the audience catapulted a drink at her on stage. Startled by the act, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper retaliated and threw her microphone in the concertgoer’s direction, and now she is under investigation for battery as a woman has filed a report to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Several security guards stepped in to quell the incident and escorted the concertgoer away while Cardi yelled at them, and eventually, the microphone was returned so she could continue her set. It isn’t clear if the individual who filed the battery report is the same person who launched their drink at the Bronx-born artist, but the report did confirm that the woman was “was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.” No charges have been filed as of yet, but we’ll be sure to update you with any story developments.
