Update: After surfacing last month, the Mimi Plange x Nike LeBron 20 “Ceremony” is now scheduled to drop next week. It draws inspiration from the Maasai people of Tanzania with its mixed media details that tap various weaves, textures and satin embroidery — an homage to their mastery of pattern. Release for the highly-detailed pair begins on September 7 via Mimi Plange’s website and will be followed by a Nike launch on September 9 at a price of $250 USD.

Original Story: For the past couple of years, Mimi Plange’s eponymous label has worked with Nike Basketball and LeBron James to outfit the LeBron 18 Low in colorways that celebrate culture. Now, for 2023, it has been revealed that the duo is moving on to the LeBron 20 just before it gets replaced by its successor — the recently-spotted LeBron 21.

With this rendition of the LeBron 20, “Bright Crimson” lights up the otherwise-white upper. In addition to this, the silhouette’s typical knit treatment has been substituted for a more robust finish to its pattern. Atop this, various floral graphics intertwine with the Swooshes, utilizing the aforementioned orange hue to enliven its presentation. Adding additional color, a purple “Bold Berry” peeks out from beneath the laces while the laces themselves are found in two different multicolored patterns. Co-branding arrives at both the heel and sockliner while an all-white sole unit rounds out the look.

Despite popping up via Nike’s official imagery, neither Mimi Plange nor the Swoosh have shared any details regarding this forthcoming collaboration on the LeBron 20. With the LeBron 21 poised to launch in the coming months, it’s likely to land on shelves by the end of fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $250 USD.
