Nintendo has been known to celebrate some of its franchises with their own dedicated consoles. For its latest Nintendo Switch, the company is celebrating Super Mario following the April release of the blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

The Nintendo Switch Mario Red Edition comes in the bright red shade that appears throughout the popular game, particularly in Mario’s cap. The color is featured throughout the entire set, which comprises a console, dock and Joy-Con controllers.

The back side on the console has a subtle design of Mario’s silhouette mid-jump. And on the interior, Nintendo has teased some hidden coins for fans.

The Mario Red Edition is exclusively available for the OLED version of the Nintendo Switch, the company’s latest flagship model. The model has a 7-inch (178 mm) screen, an adjustable stand and 64 GB of storage. The system can be connected to the TV, played in a tabletop mode or via a portable handheld.

Priced at $350 USD, the Nintendo Switch Mario Red Edition will be released on October 6. The model is open for pre-orders now on the Nintendo webstore.

In other gaming news, PlayStation Plus subscription prices will increase by up to $40 USD per year.
