Doja Cat Taps Into Horror With “Demons” Music Video

Doja Cat has been gearing up for the release of her fourth studio album, Scarlet, which is a clear departure from the artist’s previous works/style. In building anticipation for the project, Doja Cat has released a new track titled “Demons,” which is accompanied by a horror-inspired music video.
With the preparation of Scarlet, Doja Cat has been slowly revealing a darker aesthetic for the rap-heavy album – boasting demonic imagery, blood-drenched bodies and other eye-catching visuals. Now the new music for “Demons” ups the ante as Doja Cat presents a horror-movie-like visual. The video cycled between Doja Cat as a black/blue demon with red eyes and glistening diamond jewelry and the artist as herself in a bathtub filled with black liquid and rising demon hands.
Guest-starring actress Christina Ricci, the video showcases Doja and her group of demons seemingly taunting Ricci and her family in the movie-like video. “Demons” marks the third single release from Scarlet behind “Paint The Town Red” and “Attention.” Doja Cat’s fourth studio album, Scarlet, is set to release on Friday, September 22.
