Sawyerr is reuniting with Converse to lead its “Let The Star Shine” campaign — a successor to his work in the brand’s 2021 All-Star program.
Converse’s “Let The Star Shine” campaign captures Sawyerr in Ghana’s capital city, honoring his birthplace, West African roots, and the local community. The black-and-white photography enlists an all-Ghanian cast, shot outdoors in their cultural homeground. Whether playing foosball on the streets, kicking back in the city center, or enjoying family time, they rock laidback uniforms, ’70s-style suiting, and classic Converse lace-up sneakers. Some women carry Chuck 70s in head baskets, while others sit beneath pairs clung like drying laundry.
