CLOT FW23 Talks With the Past and Future
With signature styles and new graphic details.
Hong Kong-based streetwear label, CLOT, is back for the Fall/Winter 2023 season with a new collection that hones its signature cadence while looking ahead.
Titled “Ancestral Ties,” the new collection centers a conversation between past and present. Since its inception, the brand has always harbored a respect for long-standing traditions and heritage, especially of Chinese custom. As such, it made for the perfect method of paying homage while also offering up new pieces.
By balancing past and present, the new collection finds harmony between wisdom and new practices/beliefs. This vision is seen by jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, pants and more that pull from varied influences. For example, hoodies come alive with collages that include English lettering and Chinese calligraphy while western shirts dance with traditional ancestral hall window pane-inspired patterns.
Aside from these, another standout item includes a multicolored quilted patchwork jacket with contrasting fabrications. Elsewhere in the collection is the brand’s signature Baseball Shirt with matching pants and Chinese Shirts with woven patterns and baseball collars. Rounding out the collection are calm accessories like caps and crossbody bags.
