New Balance is reviving a timeless silhouette, the 998 MADE IN USA, this time with a contemporary aesthetic dressed in “Black.”

The wardrobe staple sees the shoe dressed in a sleek, black, grey, silver and white color palette. The shoe is meticulously crafted at the Boston-based Made in USA factory and is constructed with a blend of premium materials. Covered in suede, leather, textile and synthetic elements, the shoe fuses all these materials together to create the silhouette, which was first introduced in 1993. It was the first shoe to utilize ABZORB cushioning, which has been continued for this iteration. The upper is mostly made with grey mesh while the overlays are accented in black suede. The white laces contrast the rest of the shoe as it sits atop a sail ABZORB midsole and grey and black outsole.

Look out for the New Balance 998 MADE IN USA “Black” arriving in the coming months at select retailers and on New Balance for $210 USD.
