Burna Boy Announces Seventh Studio Album 'I Told Them...'
The follow-up to last summer’s ‘Love, Damini.’
Burna Boy will be putting out a new album next month, I Told Them… Slated to release on August 25, the LP follows last year’s Love, Damini and will mark his seventh studio album overall.
The Nigerian artist has been making headlines as of late, most recently as the first-ever African artist to sell out a stadium in the United States after performing at New York’s Citi Field Stadium on July 8, a show that saw 41,000 attendees fill out the space. The same month, he also became the first African artist to headline a stadium in the United Kingdom following his historic show at the London Stadium.
In tandem with announcing I Told Them…, Burna Boy has shared the first single from the project, “Big 7,” a track that arrived alongside an official visual.
Directed by Benny Bloom, the video features cameo appearances from Wu-Tang Clan‘s RZA, Busta Rhymes, Junior Mafia and the actor Shameik Moore, the latter of whom recently starred in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
