Elon Musk’s Tesla is preparing to set new benchmarks with a new track package for its Model S Plaid. The standout feature of the package as that it pushes the car to the 200 mph mark, which is certainly a feat for modern day supercars let alone a mass-production electric vehicle.

In 2020, Tesla first announced that the model would be able to hit the 200 mph speed mark, but the automaker wanted to develop stronger brakes before releasing the performance package. As such, the new package is priced at $20,000 USD, which comes with the necessary carbon ceramic brake kit as well as a wheel and tire package. While either can be purchased separately for $15,000 USD and $6,000 USD respectively, the ceramic brake kit is required to unlock the 200 mph top speed.

The new track package releases in June and can be purchased from the Tesla app.

In case you missed it, Elon Musk’s Boring Company will expand its Las Vegas tunnel network to 65 miles.
