After surfacing in burnish finishes and “Yin and Yang” shrouds, Nike‘s heritage Cortez silhouette now appears in new custom logos and graphics which make reference to music and sound systems.

The upcoming pairs, referred to as the Nike Cortez “Supersonic,” come dressed in smooth leather uppers displaying “White Igloo,” “Neutral Grey,” and “Black” hues. New soundwave Swoosh logos decorate the suede heel counter and additional exterior details include bold “NIKE” stitching on the heel tab and teal Swooshes on the tongue tabs. The most expressive elements are hidden within, as the insoles feature intricate mismatched graphics of a Streetsnap and Soundsystem in blue tints. Rounding out the design are two-tone midsoles and cream outsoles.

Take a closer look at the Nike Cortez above and expect the pairs to release via Nike and select retailers in the coming months.

Elsewhere in footwear, Nike Names Jared Carver as the next CEO of Converse.
