UPDATE: Nike has released official images of its forthcoming Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC” colorway. Nodding to Jordan’s alma mater, the kicks are prepared with crispy white leather uppers while Tar Heel-inspired accents dress up its heel counter, mid-foot piping, tongue’s wings logos and interior liners. These are now scheduled to release on July 8, 2023 in men’s & grade school sizes via SNKRS and select retailers.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

Following up on an action-packed year for the Air Jordan 2 and its low-top counterpart in 2022, Jordan Brand is continuing to focus on the silhouette as we progress through 2023. Looking specifically at the Air Jordan 2 Low, it recently appeared in a new “Sky J Orange” while colorways such as the “UNC to Chicago” launched previously. Now, the “UNC” theme continues with a white and “University Blue” colorway that references a PE worn by Michael Jordan in 1987.

The shoe appears with the Air Jordan 2’s typical leather construction, opting to lean heavily on white. The aforementioned light blue hue accents the shoe, particularly around the heel as it coats the tongue’s Wings logo, ribbed heel backing, lining and sockliner while a soft grey occupies a majority of the rubber outsole.

While we await official confirmation and imagery of the Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC” from Nike, the pair is expected to land on shelves this July. Launching on the 22nd, it will be priced at $150 USD via Nike SNKRS and select retailers in a full size run. You can also cop aftermarket pairs via Flight Club.

Stay tuned for more details and in other exciting footwear news, Jayson Tatum’s Jordan Tatum 1 continues its rollout with a new “Barbershop” colorway scheduled to release next week.
