Nike Reminisces on Its ACG Line With a New Air Max 90 Design
Digging into the ACG archive for neutral tones and durable overlays.
Nike has just presented its latest Air Max 90 sihouette and this time, the shoe has been hit with similar details to what is consistently seen throughout the Swoosh’s ACG umbrella.
When Nike launched its ACG line — also known as All Conditions Gear — the designs were crafted to withstand outdoor exploration, while also being suited to various terrains, from rocky mountains to slippery riversides. Now, Nike’s latest Air Max 90 design takes inspiration from the ACG line with neutral color tones and durable overlays.
With this in mind, this all-new Air Max 90 arrives with a white mesh base and tongues, while “Off White” suede overlays complement the leather mudguards. The main feature of the shoe comes in the form of the contrasting purple speckles on the suede Swooshes, tongue, and heel branding — this sits alongside the same colored purple internal lining, as well as the Air Max cassette unit. A “Gum/Tan” hue is then applied to the eyelets, heels, and rubber outsole to round off the design.
You can take a closer look at the latest Air Max 90 above and the sneaker will be available via the official Nike website in the coming months for $130 USD.
