LEGO 'Star Wars' Reveals Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor Set
Launching as part of LEGO’s May the Fourth celebration.
Each year, LEGO celebrates Star Wars with special set releases, gifts with purchases, giveaways and more. With the season finale of The Mandalorian airing last week, the LEGO Star Wars team has revealed its final entry for its May the Fourth celebration — the Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor set.
Drawing from what is assumed to be a deleted scene from the third season’s final episode, the build presents the opportunity to have a Mandalorian Fang Fighter duel against a TIE Interceptor — a ship last spotted at playscale in 2006. Constructed of 957 pieces across the two vehicles, a total of four minifigures have been included: a Mandalorian Fleet Commander, TIE Pilot, R2-E6 Astromech and Din Djarin equipped with the Darksaber. The two ships have been decked out with play features ranging from spring-loaded shooters to a cockpit designed for the figures.
For those interested in picking up the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor set, it launches with the start of LEGO’s May the Fourth event on May 1. Priced at $100 USD, the set qualifies for the promotion period’s miniature X-Wing Starfighter build and VIP-exclusive coin set gift. It’ll also put buyers $50 USD away from receiving a new Death Star II set valued at $25 USD.
