The contemporary Korean accessories brand Gentle Monster has released its new “Bold” collection line. The collection comes as an extension of its Galaxy of 9 Evening capsule, first announced in November 2022. The theme was inspired by the 1966 art project, 9 Evenings: Theatre and Engineering, best known for blurring the boundary between art and science.

Staying true to the theme, the “Bold” drop portrays different themes yet all the pieces are emblazoned with stars and celestial bodies, epitomizing the intrepid, dauntless spirit of Gentle Monster. Always one to bring eccentric designs to eyewear, the “Bold” collection takes traditional silhouettes and gives them a futuristic and space-worthy makeover. The star shape of the galaxy is expressed as a metaphorical symbol of the boldness the collection wants to deliver. The release also sees Gentle Monster collaborate with buzzy Korean brand, THUG CLUB. The label, which is beloved by Central Cee and SZA, is known for its metallic, star-inspired studs that are incorporated into the TECHNO-01 silhouette in black.

The product range includes frames from the Bree series, featuring the strong metal details added to the frame. The Aura features translucent frames, while the Passo utilizes the signature Gentle Monster logo frame. For those looking for a more simple and clean design, the Jules provides just that with each frame arriving in various colorways fit for each person’s aesthetic. The collection is now available online.
